www.scrumqueens.com was launched in 2009 with the aim of offering in-depth quality coverage of women’s rugby at international level. The site provides coverage of major international women’s competitions such as the Six Nations, the European Championships, the Nations Cup and the Women’s Rugby World Cup and its qualifying competitions, and focuses predominantly on International 15 and 7 aside teams and competitions. It also aims to cover smaller lesser profiled competitions around the globe.
AliAlison Donnelly has been playing and promoting women’s rugby for many years. As well as being the former PRO for the Irish women’s rugby team she’s worked on major international rugby tournaments for the IRB and IRFU. Based in London, she’s still playing rugby and works in PR for a leading broadcaster.During the World Cup she wrote a blog for skysports.com and she regularly writes on the women's game for a range of leading newspapers and magazines. Oh and she's the website editor too so let her know if you have any feedback or ideas via the 'contact us' page.
SarahSarah Edwards is the co-owner of creative agency Make it Clear, the company who designed this website in full. Sarah’s team also provided technical launch support for the site and will continue to play a key role as it develops. Sarah also plays rugby and captains the west-London Teddington women’s team and lines out for Middlesex when the occasion arises. She's our "creative visionary" - basically a smart way of saying that she coloured in all of the site's pages.
KateKate Clements has been playing rugby since 2000, but has been involved in the game for as long as she can remember. She plays 15s for Richmond and 7s for the Pink Ba Bas and has taken up admin and PR roles for every club she has played for. With three years experience in PR she’ll be offering her expertise to the promotion of the site, as well as penning the odd feature. |
