Scotland coach Karen Findlay will lead her side into a baptism of fire in this year’s 6 Nations with a home clash against reigning champions England this weekend. The Scottish coach though says her side are in a stronger place now than 12 months ago and is confident of a much improved effort.

We bring you all your team news ahead of the opening round of the women’s rugby 6 Nations this weekend. So far we've got the starting teams named from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and defending champions England. All four sides feature a number of new and youthful faces in the first game while Italy and France are yet to name their sides.

Fixtures and venues for the upcoming women’s 6 Nations have been confirmed. A number of games will be held at major stadiums this year including tests at Twickenham, the Millennium Stadium and the imposing Stade Charléty, in Paris. Ireland will kick the tournament off on Friday, February 3 against Wales at their Ashbourne RFC base.

Scotland women's rugby head coach Karen Findlay has named a 27-strong training squad for the upcoming 6 Nations. The Scots' first game is at home against England on Sunday 5 February and culminates away against Italy on Sunday 18 March.
