England play Ireland at 6pm in Surrey on Friday night in the first game of their World Cup campaign and the Cabbage Patch Bar will be showing the game live for any local fans who can’t get out to the grounds.

The history of women’s rugby is explored in a new special exhibition launched this week at Twickenham Stadium’s World Rugby Museum to coincide with the launch of the Women’s Rugby World Cup. The exhibition examines the history of the women’s game and its development and will run for six months.

A memorial match has been organised for former England player Linda Uttley who passed away in November 2009 after her 2 year battle with cancer. The former Wasps, Teddington and England international player will be commemorated by a game between the current Teddington team and a selection of Linda’s ex-teammates, who are mostly now retired, under the name ‘Linda’s Legends’.
