There are two exciting semi-finals to come and some interesting seeding clashes on Wednesday.
Disappointingly though, fans who want to watch the 5th-8th placed seedings matches will have to choose between those and the first semi-final between New Zealand and France because though none of the seeding matches are being broadcast, those two games take place at 4pm and 4.15pm giving supporters no chance to make it to the Stoop for 6pm for the first semi.
But here's how it all shapes up.
The Semi-Finals.
It's England V Australia and New Zealand V France on Wednesday night at the Twickenham Stoop.
New Zealand and France were first to qualify with their victories over Wales and Canada.
New Zealand's win was straightforward as they piled on the points against a Wales team yet to win a match in this competition. You can read the full report HERE.
France beat Canada in a match which was always going to decide this pool. France had been unimpressive to date while Canada looked the inf-form team. However the French came out and did just enough in the first half to have control of the match. The 23-8 victory meant Canada's semi-final chances were dependent on other results and in the end Australia were able to score enough to knock them out. Read the France V Canada report HERE.
After those two games ended it was all eyes on Ireland V Kazakhstan and Ausrtalia V South Africa with the Irish and Australians going into the game knowing that high scores could see them through. Australia needed more than 55 while Ireland needed more than 59. In the end Ireland couldn't score enough in their 32-3 win while Australia produced a massive performance to win 62-0 - overtaking Canada's score with the last play of the match. You can read the Irish match report HERE and the Australia report HERE.
What that meant was that Canada were left heartbroken having played so well in the opening two games only to see their hopes dashed with the last play of the Australia game.
Finally England were up against the USA in a match that was always going to go the way of the home nation though you knew the Americans would put up a real fight. That proved to be the case with England leaking their first two tries of the tournament and looking a tad disjointed at times but nonetheless they were clincial when it mattered. That victory lifted England to the top of the seedings. Read the report HERE.
The 5-8 seedings playoff.
On Wednesday Canada (5th) take on Scotland (8th) and Ireland (6th) take on USA (7th). Both of those matches are replays of pool matches where Canada and Ireland won out on those days.
Canada will have to pick themselves up from the disappointment of missing out on a semi-final slot to take on a rejuvenated Scottish team who feel they have greatly improved since the opening match.
Ireland too will play a much improved USA outfit who will certainly not make the same mistake of resting some key players and who looked much better against England. They will be fired up so Ireland will need to up it a level to repeat their win.
The 9-12 seedings playoff.
South Africa (9th) will play Kazakhstan (12th) and Wales (10th) will play Sweden (12th).
After falling apart against Australia, South Africa need a big showing to prove that they are indeed a team for the future. The South Africans greatly missed injured captain Mandissa Williams and they need her leadership against a physical Kazakhstan team who are desperate for a win.
Wales are also hankering for their first win and will go all out to get it at last but Sweden are not the rollover team that their results suggests. They have a good backline but up front they struggle after a few phases and that's where Wales will try and strike them.
