The fixtures for the 2018 Women's Six Nations Championship have been confirmed today

Women’s 6 Nations games confirmed

As well as confirming times and locations, Six Nations Rugby have also confirmed that all matches will be produced for television to a high quality broadcast standard, with every game available live either on television, or streamed live online.

A dedicated roundup highlights programme will again be available both on the BBC Network on Sunday evenings in the UK and on RTE on Monday evening in Ireland.The women's competition will begin on Friday 2 February in Parc Eirias, Colwyn Bay where Wales will host Scotland and will end on Sunday 18 March in Stadio Plebiscito, Padova.For the first time, a championship match will be staged in Bastia, Corsica – France v Italy on Saturday 24 February at 21H00 (French time).

England will play their home games at the Stoop in Twickenham and at the Ricoh Arena (home of Wasps) in Coventry.Wales are set to play Italy at the Principality Stadium (formerly the Millenium Stadium) and as well two games in Colwyn Bay, France will play Ireland at Stade Ernest Wallon (home of Toulouse) and will face England at the home of Grenoble. Ireland play all their home games at Donnybrook while Scotland are once again at the Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow.The Women’s Six Nations attracted record live TV and streaming audiences across the six countries last year with over 7.5 million viewers following the live matches and a further 2.2 million on highlights. All 15 matches of the women's event were also broadcast in 175 countries around the World.John Feehan, CEO of Six Nations Rugby said:  "We are excited about the level of interest shown in the Women’s Six Nations Championship last season and expect this interest to rise again during the next Championship. The Women’s game development forms part of the ongoing work done by the Six Nations Council who are constantly looking at the Championship and at ways of developing our brand and our sport".
