Kenya's Lionesses took a massive 18 point advantage against Uganda's Lady Cranes after a 33-15 win in the first leg in Kampala - Kenya's first ever win in the Ugandan capital.
“The 33-15 win away to the defending champions put the Lionesses in good stead to reclaim the cross-border bragging rights and they will be well aware of the task at hand when they step out on to the RFUEA turf at 2 00pm on Saturday afternoon,” KRU stated.
The Kenyans used the lead and had another great day, winning the second leg 39-10. It is only the second time that a team has won both games in the series (Uganda won both matches in 2006), and the 72-25 aggregate score is also the largest ever margin of victory.
We hope to have a more detailed report later.
