NACRA 7s to be streamed online

This weekend’s North American World Cup Sevens Qualifiers will be streamed live online.

Canada are hosting the NACRA 7s tournament where the host nation and favourites face challenges from Guyana, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Mexico, Barbados, St Vincent and The Grenadines and Trinidad & Tobago.

Games will be available to watch on http://www.livestream.com/nacrarugby on a feed run by Rogers TV.

Most of the the matches will be produced using a multi-camera production platform, with all other games captured with a single camera exclusively for internet streaming.

Archive content will be made available for each match following the tournament.

Tournament play will commence at 9am (local time) on both the 25th and 26th, and will run throughout each day with play ending at roughly 5:30 pm each day.

Complete details of the TV broadcast schedule and internet streaming links will be available on the Rugby Canada website www.rugbycanada.ca on Friday 24th August.

The format of the tournament, which is being played alongside the mens qualifiers, sees all six teams play each other over the two days, playing three matches on the first day and two on the second.

At the conclusion of the round robin games there will be a straight final between the top two teams, to decide who goes through to the RWC Sevens in 2013 and join the USA from the region.

The third and fourth place teams will also play off, as too the fifth and sixth, to decide overall positions.
