Uganda win first African Games 7s
Uganda have won the first-ever Rugby 7s gold medal at the African Games after going unbeaten in four matches on Wednesday.

Uganda were deserved winner of first the Gold Medal for sevens to be awarded at the African Games.
With no playoffs the medal positions were decided based on a single five team pool, played over one day, Uganda proved to be deserved winners with four straight wins. Madagascar edged Tunisia for bronze.
Uganda's 37-7 win against Tunisia in the opening round suggested that they were favourites, and when Madagascar were surprisingly beaten by hosts Ghana in the third round the Ugandans were given a clear run to their final game.
In that game a Madagascar win could have stolen gold at the last, but that was never in doubt as Uganda win 29-0.
