Pacific Fours to visit three countries

World Rugby has announced that the 2023 Pacific Fours will be played over four weekends between April and July – and will also bring two weekends of top-level test rugby to Spain.

USA and Canada will travel to Madrid for the first match in the tournament.

On 25thMarch the teams will warm-up with fixtures against Spain and South Africa respectively before their Pacific Fours fixture place the following weekend, which will also see Spain take on the Springbok.

In June New Zealand will travel to Australia for their opening match, before all four teams move on to Canada for the final two rounds of games on successive weekends the following month.

The top three from the Pacific Fours will play in WXV1 against the top three from the Six Nations later in the year.

The fourth placed team from the Pacific Fours will play in WXV2 alongside the fourth and fifth teams from the Six Nations, plus the Oceanian, Asian and African champions.

WXV3 will feature the sixth team from the Six Nations, Spain (as European Champions), South America’s leading team, and the runners up from Oceania, Asia and Africa.
