Canada “A” beat Spanish XV in training matchup

Canada's "A" team are in Spain for a training camp and Spain took the opportunity to organise two unofficial internationals against the world's Number 2 nation
The young Spanish team stood up well to the North Americans, leaving "positive things and aspects to improve” as the coach himself pointed out at the end of the 80 minutes.
A hot Elche morning witnessed the meeting between two high-level teams. The match saw the return to the field by Lourdes Alameda and Mónica Castelo. Spain, captained by Laura 'Bimba' Delgado showed a great defensive attitude and great offensive flashes starring Amalia Argudo and Claudia Peña.
The score, at the end of 80 minutes, was 12-27 in favour of the Canadians. The Spanish scores were the work of Vico Gorrochategui (first half), after a great action by Claudia Peña, and by Nuria Jou, after a touch-maul in the final moments.
